This past week, Fish Tech Professor Reid Brewer introduced 10 middle school students here in Sitka to the joys of SCUBA diving. Although they can’t get their Open Water Certification until age 15, this group will be a step ahead when they take an open water class!
Highlights included taking first breaths underwater, and taking turns to make their way through an obstacle course in the deep end of the pool. Big thanks to pool manager Shellie Dunn for helping us out!
We will be offering Open Water/Dry Suit diving again in the fall. Registration fills quickly, so connect with us this summer to save your spot!
